My family went to the flower fields in Carlsbad when we were in California. It was really cool. I have been to several wholesalers and even to the huge flower district in LA, but I have never been to an actual grower before. Although there were several other flowers the main harvest was Ranunculus (or Persian Buttercup). The fields sit on over 50 acres overlooking the ocean. It was cool to see the 2 dozen or so workers cutting the flowers, wrapping them, then after working a row, going back through to pick up the bunches, and loading them into buckets on the trucks.

Looks beautiful! I love seeing your flower estrangements and your sisters cakes look sooo yummy! Your families got some major talent going on in the wedding biz.
